A file that seems to be infected by a virus or other type of malware. The aim of some antivirus services, like SOS Virus is to certify the status of the suspicious files, by studying and analyzing them. Some antivirus programs, provided that they are correctly updated, detect files that although they are not infected, are suspicious. In this case, they isolate them and allow them to be sent to a service like SOS virus to be certified (studied and analyzed) virus free.
